Reading to Understand: Children's Books to Use with Comprehension Strategies

This list includes books to use when teaching reading strategies (using prior knowledge, making connections, questioning, visualizing, inferring, summarizing, evaluating and synthesizing. It was created by the Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC) for the Into the Book Web site. The CCBC has lots of other great book lists: CCBC Bibliographies and Booklists .
